Now that we have packed away our Christmas Decorations, we can relax and start planning our 2020!
There is no better way to begin the Golf Season than with the Pre-Season Lunch. This year, in keeping with our decision to keep moving round different clubs, we are heading to Glen Golf Club, where I am sure we will be well looked after in their beautiful clubhouse with amazing views.
If you have not already returned a booking form, please click on the attachment for full details. The closing date for bookings is 14 February.
If you use the online payment option (the same bank details as for your subs) please can you either send me a copy of the form back by mail, email or even a photograph by text showing your choice of meal. You are welcome to sit with your friends or come along on your own and make new friends. Tables will be in 8s or 10s depending on numbers. Please let me know your choice of seating arrangement.
We look forward to seeing many familiar faces and new faces at the lunch. We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.

The competition this year was held at The Musselburgh GC and thanks must go to their members Diane Fraser, Jan Laing, Margaret Tiffany Linda Smith and Irene Gray for all their help in raising this fantastic sum.
Thank you to Rathbone Investment for their much appreciated sponsorship of this event.
Remember The Babe Zaharias is being held at Muirfield this year.
The first round has now been completed despite torrential rain, it sounds like there have been some great tight matches and sadly a couple of walkovers due to illness.
Here is the draw for the next round of the winter foursomes:

Frances Hall, Junior Secretary, reported that there were sixteen juniors this year an increase over last year. For the first time, we had entered an ELLCGA team in the East Lothian Junior Golf League and the team performed really well in this competition.
The girls’ handicaps have all been reduced this season and they have won a lot of prizes and trophies at their clubs, at junior Opens and in the East of Scotland events. Special mention must go to Ellie Bent winner of the Trophy for most improved golfer and of course to our Junior and Senior Champion Grace Crawford (pictured below with vice president Carole Ross).
Congratulations to all our Junior prize winners this year.

In her captain’s report Jenni Ray welcomed everyone to the meeting at North Berwick Golf Club and was pleased to announce that Catriona Matthew had agreed that a trophy could be presented in her name. “The Catriona Matthew Team Trophy” will be played for by club teams in the Autumn Meeting. One of the highlights of her captaincy was the commitment and performance of the County Squad at the Jamboree.
The treasurer, Elaine Wolstencraft reported a healthy financial position in the light of which there will be no change to subscriptions or entry fees.
