The final of the Summer Hole & Hole between Anne Blundell and Tina Mooney took place at a very windy but dry and sunny Kilspindie. The winner was Anne Blundell, congratulations to Anne on her success and to Tina for reaching the final.

In a very tight final in blustery testing conditions Anne McAllister eventually won out over Nancy Thorne at the 22nd hole. Quite a battle.

Thank goodness that a let up in our Arctic weather conditions has meant that many of the second round ties have now been completed. A gentle reminder that the deadline for the completion of this round is Sunday the 27th of May.

The weather may be telling us it is still winter but the diary says it is almost time to start the summer Hole & Hole competition. We have had a good entry with only 5 lucky ladies getting a bye in the first round.
There seems to have been a problem in seeing Linda’s contact details for reporting results on some devices and we have sorted this by re-locating the information to the top left corner of the draw sheet and at the same time the sheet has been updated with the results to date.

We have been looking at the dates for the Summer Hole & Hole Competition. We are very aware of the disruption which will be caused by the Scottish Open and Scottish Ladies Open being played at Gullane in July. Not only will there be restricted access to Gullane for most of July but other courses will be busier or unavailable due to visitors, giving reciprocal times and closure for qualifying. In addition many members will be volunteering at these events or attending as spectators.
Having looked at the way the dates fall we have been able to give the usual 4 weeks between most rounds but have managed to allocate 6 weeks for the 4th round straddling the period from late June to early August to help as many of our member take part in this event. The last date for playing each round will be:-
Round 1 – 29th April,
Round 2 – 27th May,
Round 3 – 24th June,
Round 4 – 5th August,
Round 5 – 2nd September
Round 6 – 30th September.
The final of this year’s Summer Hole & Hole took place on Sunday between Dulcie Barnes and Susan Penman. After a hard fought Match Dulcie triumphed at the 17th. Congratulations to Dulcie on her win and well done Sue on reaching the final.
The final of the Summer Hole & Hole 2017 will be played between Dulcie Barnes and Susan Penman by 24 September, Dulcie being the challenger.

We are now accepting entries for the Summer & Hole Competition which will run from 1st April to 20th September 2017.
