This year our AGM was held at the Glen Golf Club on Thursday 11th November. Prior to the meeting, Gail had organised for an afternoon tea which proved very popular and allowed for some welcome catching up.  There was lively chatter and stunning sunshine views from the clubhouse not to mention the delicious scones and cakes. Michelle Campbell from Macmillan Cancer Support joined us and Gail and Frances presented to her, a cheque for £5000, the money raised at this year’s Babe Zaharias event.

It was great to see some of our juniors attend for the prize giving. Shona reported on how well they have done over the season and how they have grown from strength to strength. Their participation in the East Lothian Junior Golf League and the Cuthbertson Cup are very much appreciated.

In thanks and appreciation for all their hard work over the years , Gail presented flowers to Jane Nelson and Kay Lannin both of whom are stepping down from their roles on the committee. Jane has been Secretary for four years and in the words of Gail “has been the most efficient, supportive and knowledgeable Secretary she could have asked for”. Jane has agreed to remain as a Committee Member for one year  to assist the new Secretary.

Kay has now completed her 3 years as a Committee Member and I am pleased to report will remain as the player representative on the Babe Zaharias Committee.

Nancy Thorne is now Secretary.  In her role as Treasurer Nancy has been working with Jane on the installation of the new Scottish Golf Software and has agreed to move over to Secretary as this will keep the continuity in the role and make the final transition much easier when the switch to the new software is made.

We are pleased to welcome Una Cooper as the new Treasurer and Fiona McIver as a new Committee Member.

Elaine Dick is joining us as Vice President for one year and will take over from Carole Ross as President next year. We are delighted to have Elaine rejoin the Committee.

The meeting was well attended and once Nancy, Jane and Gail had given their reports the main prize giving followed –
