Babe Zaharias Competition 2026 – Mortonhall
Congratulations to the winner of the Babe Zaharias Trophy, Karen Marshall (Baberton) who played in the last group of the day in torrential rain. Given the dreadful conditions Karen’s score of 76 was miraculous. Karen narrowly beat Sarah Ledingham (Gullane) by one shot. Thank you to the Braid Hills Golf Centre who sponsored the Babe Zaharias prize money. This helped to raise a fantastic sum of more than £6,500 for the Maggie’s Cancer Charity.
Congratulations to ELLCGA member Morag Burns (Royal Musselburgh) who won the Ultraplast Trophy with an excellent nett score of 65.
Many thanks to Mortonhall GC for hosting the event and to their ladies section for their organisation of the event, especially the very successful raffle.
