Babe Zaharias 2025 Report

Winner of the Babe Zaharias Trophy 2025 was Aillsa Cackett, Broomieknowe,  with a score of 76. An honourable mention goes to  runner up Jill McNicoll, in the last group out, who managed a 77.

Winner of the Ultraplast Trophy with a net score of  68 (bih) was Patricia Smith, Gullane. Runner up was Leighann Lindsay, Kilspindie with a sore of 68.

The Babe Zaharias Competition 2025 was held at Luffness New Golf Club, this proved to be a very popular venue. Conditions varied throughout the day, early afternoon starters had the best of the sunshine while later starters had to contend with very cold, windy weather. One the very early starters, Brenda Goldstein had a hole in one at the 6th, congratulations Brenda.

The course was in fantastic condition, the Greenkeepers  had it well prepared for us and the catering staff did a wonderful job in welcoming us to the clubhouse. The day was enjoyed by all players. Thank you to Luffness for the tremendous support they gave us in the lead up to and on the day of the event. Thanks also to Corrine Luca and her team for organising the raffle in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, we will announce the final sum raised when it becomes available.
