Well we knew we had to pay the price for having relatively good weather at the Spring Meeting. It was raining quite heavily for the first tee off time and as you can see from the photos everyone was well prepared for the weather. The bonus was there was no wind and it was actually quite warm (too hot if you had layered up and then put waterproofs on top). In terms of a forecast, changeable would probably be the best description.

In the morning most of the championship matches were very tight with several going to the 18th. The same pattern in the quarter finals with two going to the 18th and one to an extra hole. The semi final matches look as if they will be really interesting.

Clare Jones v Alyssa Henderson and Barbara Biggart v Dawn Young

In the Handicap Quaich the players enjoyed slightly better conditions than the morning seemed to really enjoy their golf.

The semi final line up again looks interesting.

Many thanks to the Renaissance for letting us enjoy such a lovely course.
