The Cuthbertson Cup

The Cuthbertson Cup was held at Ladybank Golf Club on Sunday 25th September. The East Lothian Girls’ team was Evie McCallum, Evie Bent, Kate Thomson and Ava Simon. It was a chilly start to the day and in the morning singles we played against Stirling and Clackmannanshire.  There was some great golf played by all the girls and the match finished 2-2. East Lothian won the match by the number of holes won.

The girls only had time for a very quick lunch before they were back on the tee for the final against Midlothian.  The wind had got up in the afternoon but the girls didn’t seem to notice as they set off for their second round of the day. Again some great golf was played and the course was in great condition. The match finished 2-2 again but Midlothian were the winners on countback of the number of holes won.  Congratulations to Midlothian who played some great golf.

Thanks to Fife County for hosting the day and many thanks to our Vice President, Elaine Dick, who came along to support the girls.  Very well done to all the girls – it was a great achievement to reach the final with some great golf.
