Just eight days after winning the Helen Holme cup Grace Crawford has done it again. This time winning the R&A Girls under 16 Amateur Championship, a leading event for up-and-coming female golfers.
This year the 54-hole stroke play event took place at Enville Golf Club in the Midlands with a field of 88 players competing on the heathland course.
It was Grace’s final appearance at the event having first entered at the age of 12 so a very timeous and welcome win.
After the two opening rounds she stared the final day with a two shot lead and overcoming a difficult start rolled home a 25 feet put at the par-5 18th to win the Championship by four strokes.
Her winning total a four-over-par 220. Well done Grace!
