Babe Zaharias Honoured

Along with Annika Sorenstam and Gary Player, Babe Zaharias was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

This came after a request from the Zaharias Foundation backed by a dozen Texas congressmen, and  provides an acknowledgement to a trailblazer once barred from competing and mocked as a “Muscle Moll”.
