Match v Gullane GC – Report

The annual match v Gullane GC  for the Percy Vere Trophy took place today on a beautiful sunny winter Sunday. There was some great golf and all the matches were played in good spirit. The score lines in some of the matches did not reflect how closely the holes were contested. We  all enjoyed a meal in the clubhouse afterwards as guests of Gullane.

I regret to report that the trophy was returned to the safekeeping of Gullane GC after their 3.5 – 2.5 win.

12.36  –  Malcolm Robert (5) and Ian Johnston (12) beat Mhairi Tufail (6) and Sharon Lynch (8)  4&3

12.42 –  Stuart Barnes (6) and Davy Saunders (11) beat Mary Lou Watkins (5) and Hazel Saunders (9) 2&1

12.48 –  Paul Craigs (6) and Alan Dickson (15) beat Eleanor Black (8) and Ann Sewell (9)  6&5

12.54 –  Steven Gibb (6) and Kevin Thomson (7) halved with Dawn Young (5) and Dulcie Barnes (6)

13.00 –  Alan J Fraser (7) and Jeff Aitken (7) lost to Jill McNicoll (5) and Dianne Brown (8)  2&1
